Little Flower's success hinges greatly on the generosity and involvement of the community. We have many people to thank and many things to be grateful for. In an attempt to recognize some of these contributions we have set up this page as a way to recognize these gifts and to keep the community updated on the progress of the projects at Little Flower. Some of our completed projects are: Air conditioned classrooms New flooring in the cafeteria, storage area and custodians office Remodeled kitchen Reconfigured lower grade playground with additional new equipment New benches and swings for the upper grade playground Refurbishing and repainting of the trailers Clearing of the wooded area around the playground Resurfacing of the playground area in the back and of the sidewalks
The LFS community extends a thank you to T. N. Bowes for diligently pushing ahead, especially in the 100+ degree heat, to have the air conditioning ready for the opening of school; B. C. Guzman for his numerous hours and hard work on the wiring; the Knights of Columbus and families, Tom Haden and Jeff Nichalson for their hard work in remodeling the kitchen; the Sieberts (Mrs. Siebert LFS ‘86) for the lower playground equipment, regrading and resurfacing of the lower playground; Sean Arthur (LFS ‘04) with the assistance of Mr. Kevin Arthur for his work on the upper playground; Mr. Joseph McKay for bush hogging the area next to the woods; Mr. Wallace and Mr. Jerry for organizing and directing the parents and St. Mary’s College volunteers who worked on the trailers, the ramps and the Garden of Remembrance;the parents who volunteered to work on the trailers; Mrs. Schroeder for sending the St. Mary’s College students our way; the St. Mary’s College students who worked on the grounds; Mr. Knot (LFS ’60 ) for resurfacing the playground area; Mr. Larry Hills for making the trench for the line from the street to the school. The countless hours these people have put in is greatly appreciated. It is also rewarding to see the number of alumni who are giving back to the school community. Again, thank you. A wholehearted thank you is extended to the faculty and staff, who have also steadily worked around and through all the work being done. They pushed forward steadfastly to have the school ready for the opening day for the students. Seeing the community pull together is refreshing and, hopefully, a sign of the climate for the up coming year. Thank You!
