Child Protection

Initiative for Protecting Children

All adults age 18 and over who have substantial contact with LFS students MUST be in compliance with the Archdiocesan Child Protection Policy. This includes:

1.  Completing FBI and Maryland state background checks before volunteering or working with children.  In order to do this you must fill out a volunteer application or if you are an employee bring a copy of your original employment application with you.  Then make an appointment following the directions on this handout from the Archdiocese.

2.  Reading the Archdiocesan Child Protection Policy.

3.  Attend a three-hour, practical child protection workshop called Protecting God’s Children (by Virtus).

Register online for a Virtus session.
