Little Flower School will be hosting the 10^th Annual LFS Patriot Day 5k on Saturday, September 6, 2025. We are very excited about this community event and LFS fundraiser!

At Little Flower School, our commitment to the growth of the whole child is achieved through a focus on core values: faith, knowledge and service. This event complements our environment which encourages service to each other, our school, and especially to our community.

This annual event is held on the Saturday preceding Patriot Day, September 11^th, to honor our local “Patriots” which includes military, firefighters, police officers and emergency medical technicians. Participants can run or walk the 5K and children 10 & under are invited to participate in our 1-mile Kids Run on the school grounds.  Strollers are welcome on the race course.  New this year - wear your red, white, and blue for your chance to win our most patriotic dressed costume contest!  Creativity encouraged.

Join us in recognizing our community heroes by voting for your Patriot Organization of the Year upon registration, or by nominating a Patriot of the Year. 15% of our event proceeds will be donated to the organization with the most votes, and 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the charity of the Patriot of the Year’s choice. If you would like to nominate an organization to be added to the ballot, please email [email protected].

PATRIOT OF THE YEAR NOMINATION GUIDELINES:

• Submit a simple paragraph or two (500-word limit) describing why your nominee should be Patriot of the Year. Keep in mind the judges are 12 to 14 year olds!
• Tell us how your nominee has demonstrated patriotism through some act or example.
• Neither the nominator nor the nominee is required to register for the LFS Patriot Day 5K.
• All nominations must be submitted by August 25, 2024.

The Patriot of the Year will be selected by LFS middle school students based on the nominations only, without names. Patriot of the Year nominees will be notified by August 30, 2024 and are requested to be present at Little Flower School on September 7, 2024 to be recognized at the Opening Ceremony, or to designate a representative to receive the recognition on his or her behalf.
